Andia Persad Maharaj Wins ISO Next Generation Award.

Andia Persad- Maharaj, Standards Officer, Standardization Division has been awarded the prestigious ISO Next Generation Award.

The Trinidad and Tobago Bureau of Standards says the Award was announced by the ISO President, Eddy Njoroge, at the 2021 ISO General Assembly meeting which was hosted virtually by the British Standards Institution over the period September 22^nd to 24^th.

In a media release Friday, the TTBS said the Next Generation Award is one of the ongoing activities within ISO designed to recognize current young professionals from ISO members in standardization who embody the values of sustainability-driven standardization.

The Award seeks to attract new generations through the incentive of career development opportunities in standards development.

TTBS said based on Andia’s winning submission to ISO, Andia highlighted her passion and deep conviction for the use of standards to address sustainability changes facing our global society.
