82,030 doses of AstraZeneca Vaccines by the Canadian government arrived in Trinidad and Tobago

The donation 82,030 doses of AstraZeneca Vaccines by the Canadian government arrived in Trinidad and Tobago at 3:33 this afternoon.

The announcement was made by Minister of Foreign and Caricom Affairs Amery Browne via his Facebook page. The statement read: “At 3:33pm today, 82,030 doses of WHO-approved AstraZeneca vaccine arrived in T&T, generously donated by the Government of Canada”

The government of Canada made the announcement that it was donating the vaccines to Trinidad and Tobago because the vaccines were in excess of what were needed in Canada and Trinidad and Tobago had the capacity to deploy the vaccines effectively.
