Quick action from officers of the Emergency Response Patrol (ERP) South, resulted in the recovery of a stolen vehicle at 10 am today.
WPC Hernandez and PC Rampersad were on patrol when they responded to a call from the Command Centre of a robbery in the district.
Based on the information received, the officers proceeded to Ramlal Street, La Romaine, where a white Tiida vehicle bearing false number plates was left abandoned at the side of the road. Checks indicated that the number was registered to another vehicle.
Officers from the Penal Police Station were contacted and with the assistance of Sgt Haynes and officers from the South Western Division, the vehicle was taken away.
It was further revealed, that the victim of Raju Trace, San Francique, was robbed at 9pm on Wednesday 14th October 2020.
Investigations are continuing.
