5-year-old boy suffers third-degree burns after Trincity fire

Fire officials are investigating a fire in Trincity on Thursday, which left a five-year-old boy nursing injuries.

The child is being treated for third-degree burns to his arms, torso and face, after the fire at his Trincity home on Thursday morning.

Officers of the Arima fire station received a report of a fire at a house on Fifth Street, Casselton, around 7.11 am and went to the scene.

They were able to contain the blaze to one room of the house and extinguished it.

Fire officers are investigating the cause of the blaze.
