Four Venezuelan men who appeared before a San Fernando Magistrate on Tuesday October 17th, 2023 have been remanded into custody and will reappear before a magistrate on Thursday 26th October, 2023.
The suspects were charged for the offences of Illegal entry into the country.
According to police reports, during the period 8 am and 2 pm on Tuesday 17th October 2023, an exercise was conducted by Officers of the Immigration Investigations Unit, South.
This intelligence led initiative was coordinated by Snr Supt Ramkhelawan, Supt Pariman, ASP Ramdass, Insp Phillip and Sgt. Daulat. It was directly supervised by W/Cpl Parks. The four men were arrested for Illegal Entry during exercises conducted in Cedros and Penal.
