Arima police are trying to determine a motive for the shooting of two men in the Maturita area on Tuesday.
Around 7am, the men, aged 23 and 48, were at their mini-mart on Bamboo No 1, Maturita, when two masked men walked into the business place and shot them several times.
The gunmen got into a black car parked nearby and drove off.
The 23-year-old was shot in his neck and face while the 48-year-old was shot in his shoulder.
Both men was rushed to hospital where they were listed in stable condition.
Crime Scene investigators found 13 spent shells at the scene.
