A woman PC sprang into quick action on Thursday afternoon when she attempted to stop a robbery by shooting at a bandit who had his weapon pointed at her.
Police said the officer, who is assigned to the Northern Division Task Force West, was at the Trincity Mall car park at around 6.05 pm when she saw a man snatch a cellphone from a woman and ran away.
The officer chased after the man, who pulled out a gun and aimed at her.
She fired two shots at the man, who ran off and got into a waiting Nissan Tiida, which drove off onto the Churchill Roosevelt Highway.
Investigators said no one was wounded.
