The Works Minister is dismissing rumours that the Government already has an operator for the Port-of -Spain Port.
During a visit to the Bamboo Number One pump site on Sunday, Minister Rohan Sinanan sought to assure that Government will follow proper procurement procedures in selecting the future operator.
He said a committee has already been put together to decide on the way forward.
He sought to reassure the public that there are no similar plans for the other Ports.
Minister Sinanan also gave an update on the two vessels that are scheduled to arrive in the country.
