Work Of Thirty-Three Artists To Be Featured At Tuesday’s Launch Of The Rotunda Gallery

The work of thirty-three  artists of whom three are 18 years old and under will be featured at the latest instalment of the Rotunda Gallery -“National Icons – An Exhibition of Familiar Faces”.

It will feature Genesis who is age 18, Jaidn Bain who is 15 and Natalia Sandy who is 14.

From 2pm the event will begin in the Rotunda Gallery, Red House, Abercromby Street, Port of Spain.

The exhibition comprises sixty-one pieces of artwork by focusing on the portraits of national icons.

Included in the exhibition are eleven pieces from the Cultural Icons Heritage Collection by artist David Boothman.

President of the Senate, Nigel de Freitas, will be in attendance.

The theme of this exhibition aligns with goal #11 of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals – Make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable.

Target #11.4 calls for strengthening efforts to protect and safeguard the world’s cultural and natural heritage.
