WATCH | Police find millions in stolen vehicle parts

An operation by officers of the Southern Division, led to the discovery of millions of dollars worth of stolen car parts.

According to reports, the team of officers, headed by Snr. Supt Richard Smith, made the find following the arrest of two men and the seizure of 4 vehicles in New Grant earlier this week.

The police exercise took place at North Trace New Grant, Princes Town.

Police reportedly recovered: 100 car engines; 100 hybrid car batteries, 100 car windscreens; 100 car doors; 7 vehicle shells; bumpers; and hundreds of other car parts and accessories.

Electrical panels and other sensitive areas from vehicles that were stolen and scrapped were found wrapped in plastic bags.
The items were being stored under trees in a rural area down a dirt track.
