The Water and Sewerage Authority advises customers in parts of La Brea, who continue to experience an interruption in their water supply , this is due to a further leak that developed at another point along the 16 inch diameter transmission pipeline, located at LP 1549 Southern Main Road, La Brea.
WASA says this follows the restoration of supply overnight, after the completion of repairs to two previous leaks at LP 1547 and 1548.
Emergency repair works to this new leak are expected to be completed 12:00 midnight on Friday.
Affected areas include: Point D’or, Newlands, Cassava Alley, Belle view #2, Bassa Hill High Points, Parts of Chinese Village, Pierre Road inclusive of all side streets.
A limited truck-borne water service will be available upon request.
