WASA staff show up for work despite PSA president call to stay home

It seems workers of the Water and Sewerage Authority did not take heed to Watson Duke’s call to stay at home today.

From all accounts, workers turned up at the Farm Road facility as per their usual work schedule and did not take the PSA president’s action call for a day of rest.

izzso spoke to an employee on condition of anonymity and he said he went to work as he did not want to rock the boat at this time and needed to hold on to his job. He said he also noticed his colleagues on the clock as usual.

Duke made the call for a day of rest citing the refusal to adjust workers’ salaries and government’s plan to restructure as a few of the reasons.
