Customers in parts of St James who are currently experiencing low water pressures or no water supply, are being advised by the Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA), that this is due to a leaking 21” pipeline located on the compound of the Police Academy, Western Main Road, St James, in the vicinity of Long Circular Road.
In a statement, WASA said emergency repairs currently underway have been slowed by the discovery of an underground T&TEC power line which has been de-energised and restorative works have resumed.
Affected areas include: St James North, inclusive of Upper Bournes Road, Woodbine, Fort George, Providence Estate and Cocorite.
The Authority added it will provide further details on service restoration in a subsequent update.
