Over 150 workers from the University of Trinidad and Tobago (UTT) will receive termination letters today.
In a memorandum issued to staff, the University noted that the decision was taken after one-on-one meetings with Department heads at the University. Letters were also sent to the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Labour and Small Enterprise Development and the trade union that represents the workers.
The termination is as a result of a restructuring exercise currently being undertaken by the University.
