US Embassy partners with TT E-Hub to launch Academy for Women Entrepreneurs

The U.S. Embassy and the Trinidad and Tobago Entrepreneurship Hub (E-hub) has launched the Academy for Women Entrepreneurs (AWE) program.

AWE is designed to teach women worldwide to become successful entrepreneurs and is part of our ongoing effort to empower local women to fulfil their economic potential and create conditions for increased stability, security, and prosperity for all Trinbagonians.

The E-hub’s Young Leaders of the Americas Initiative (YLAI) alumni Deidre Lee Kin and Shemeon Williams will lead the initiative.

The program runs for three months with the aim to annually graduate two cohorts of female entrepreneurs in age groups 17-25 and 26-45 years, who have either already started businesses or are in the process of starting a business. The program will provide ongoing support and monitoring to ensure participants achieve their long-term goals of entrepreneurship.

Interested participants should visit www.ehubtt.org for application instructions. Registration is open until June 6. The program starts in July.

The E-Hub is a partnership with the U.S. Embassy and exchange program alumni. It seeks to create an environment conducive for fostering entrepreneurship within Trinidad and Tobago through a platform to network and train persons to promote employment, economic growth, and opportunities.
