The United National Congress cites several economic projects it believes can help improve the country’s performance and competitiveness.
Opposition Leader, Kamla Persad Bissessar, says the projects seek to bring about people centred development, pro-business with strong private sector involvement, local content, sustainability, promoting environmental stewardship.
In her Budget response in the parliament on Friday, Mrs Persad Bissessar said creating new jobs, transform the economy and creating more revenue are vital.
Among the projects are a Brechin Castle Agro Processing Complex, A Sugar Manufacturing Facility, An East West Bio Technology Manufacturing Corridor, Piarco Aircraft Maintenance Repair and Operations Hub, East Port of Spain Manufacturing Facility, Cedros\Moruga Economic Facility.
