The Opposition United National Congress is chastising the Prime Minister for placing the blame on citizens for not informing the police about little Kylie Maloney’s murder.
The six year old girl lost her life after her family was attacked by gunmen during the wee hours of Sunday morning.
Three other relatives who were in the home in Sangre Grande at the time of the attack were also shot and had to seek medical attention.
UNC’s PRO Kirk Meighoo said that Dr Keith Rowley’s response to a question yesterday about the murder of the six year old girl was despicable.
He said Dr Rowley tried to put a guilt trip on the citizenry, blaming them for not telling the police who the murderers were, because the police were not “magicians”.
He also said that Keith Rowley pretended not to know why so many citizens do not report violent crimes to the police.
