An Air Rifle, one round of 12-gauge ammunition, and a bullet proof vest were seized at the home of a Santa Cruz resident.
The discovery was made after officers of the North Eastern Division executed a warrant on October 31st, 2020, for firearms and ammunition at the residence of the La Canoa Road man.
The man was detained by officers of the Santa Cruz CID following a report of malicious damage. He is expected to be charged for being in possession of an unlicensed firearm.
During the same anti-crime exercise, the officers also arrested a 19- year-old Rosemary Street teen who was detained in connection to a burglary which occurred on October 27th, 2020.
The teen will appear before an identification parade before charges are laid.
Investigations are continuing into both matters.
