Twitter staff locked out of email accounts as Musk begins sackings

Some Twitter staff say they are already being locked out of their email accounts as mass sackings at the company begin.

New owner Elon Musk is expected to slash the company’s 8,000 strong workforce in half.

An internal email said the cuts were designed to put Twitter on a “healthy path” – the platform struggles to make a profit.

All staff members are set to receive an email with the subject “Your Role at Twitter” by 09:00 today.
