TTUTA: Face to face classes are more advantageous, but a balance must be struck

TTUTA says while there are some advantages to reintroducing physical schooling for some students, they believe a balance must be struck if this concept is to have any success.

Speaking at a news briefing held at the Diplomatic Center, St Ann’s on Saturday, Prime Minister Dr. Keith Rowley said on February 8th next year the aim is to have standard five students of primary schools back in the education system.

However TTUTA First Vice President Kyrla Robinson Thomas told News Power Now this morning that there are some concerns that would have to be addressed first before the decision is brought to fruition.

She said that teachers have communicated that face to face classes are more advantageous, and online learning has come with its own issues, however this does not mitigate the fact that balance is needed.
