200 motorbikes given to the TTPS from the Government of China.
Minister Stuart Young: This is a gift to the people of T&T. The 200 motorbikes have GPS and video which will help us in the fight against crime with real time information.
The handing over ceremony took place at the Police Academy, Saaman Drive, St. James, on Wednesday 21st August 2019.
Prime Minister, Dr. the Honourable Keith Rowley, Minister of National Security, the Honourable Stuart Young and Commissioner of Police Gary Griffith were present at the handing over in addition to Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China, His Excellency, Song Yumin.
Dr. Rowley speaking at the ceremony, said that the Government is outfitting the TTPS with the best possible tools and equipment to do its job.
He wants the TTPS to properly maintain the bikes.
