Forty-seven drivers were ticketed for speeding along Saddle Road, Santa Cruz, during a road safety enforcement exercise yesterday morning.
The operation was conducted by speed technicians and traffic officers attached to the North-Eastern Division Traffic Unit (NEDTU).
One motorist was clocked driving at 82km/h, which was 32km/h over the speed limit of 50km/h.
The tickets totalled $47,000.
The NEDTU is reminding motorists to adhere to all traffic regulations and practice road safety while driving within the Division as road exercises will continue with the aim of reducing the likelihood of accidents, which at times may be fatal or may cause injuries to limbs or damage to property.
