TTPS Introduce Ballistics, New Technology To Solve Murders

The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service is utilizing all available resources to solving homicides and to reduce its impacts on the citizenry.

This was the assurance given by senior officers of the Homicide Bureau of Investigations who spoke Tuesday at the TTPS’ Weekly Media Briefing held at the Police Administration Building, Port-of-Spain.

Superintendent of Police, Rishi Singh, said this has resulted in the identification of trends which are now currently contributing to an increase in murders in some communities.

Superintendent Singh said intimate and non-intimate domestic violence matters are of increasing concern pointing in the direction of a social degradation which must be addressed by stakeholders.

Superintendent Singh said increasingly, relatives get into simple arguments which result in death and neighbourly and familial property disputes are also finding their way into our records of probable causes.
