Senator defends Opposition behaviour in Parliament

Opposition Senator Wade Mark is defending the behavior of Parliamentarians last week during the motion to set up a tribunal to look into the removal of President Her Excellency, Paula-Mae Weekes.

During the proceedings, the House Speaker was on the receiving end of jeers and disparaging comments by Members of the Opposition.

However, speaking on Power 102 Digital this morning, Senator Mark defended the exchange of comments, suggesting that it was a by-product of democracy.

He added that he UNC remains unhappy with how the matter was handled after House Speaker Brigid Annisette-George ruled that there was no need for debate on the motion as it was a procedural motion.

He revealed that the party intends to address the ruling through legal amends.
