Trinidad and Tobago has set ambitious targets aimed at diversifying the economy and embarked upon plans to reduce emissions and build climate resilience but help will be needed.
This is one of the main points highlighted by Prime Minister, Dr Keith Rowley, as he addressed the COP 26 climate change conference in Glasgow today.
Prime Minister Rowley revealed details on various course of action the government will take to lessen its dependence on the energy sector which has been the main income earner for Trinidad and Tobago for years.
Dr Rowley said this country is determined to do its take part to help bring about a cleaner environment and urged other nations to do the same.
