The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) has assured citizens that the capital city is safe.
This after a voice message began circulating warning citizens against shopping in Port of Spain due to planned reprisals following the shooting along the Churchill Roosevelt Highway on Wednesday.
ACP Winston Maharaj says that WhatsApp messages which are circulating, warning the public to stay out of Port of Spain are “emotional rants”.
He said that the TTPS are doing everything in its remit, and providing the level of attention, to ensure Port of Spain is safe.
