T&TEC conducts emergency repairs at its Point Fortin Substation

T&TEC’s engineers are conducting emergency repairs at its Point Fortin Substation to restore electricity to customers in Point Fortin and further south.

Earlier today a fault occurred on the 12kV board at the substation which distributes electricity to different feeders in the area.

As a result, there was an interruption in the supply and customers in various communities including the following, are without electricity: Pt Fortin, Cap-de-Ville, Cedros, Chatham, Buenos Ayres and surrounding areas. Restoration work is ongoing, with a targeted completion time of 8:00 p.m.

T&TEC apologises to customers for the inconvenience being experienced as a result of this unplanned outage and reassures that it is working to restore the supply in the shortest possible time.
