TT Red Force Cricketers Claim 14th Super 50 Title

Trinidad and Tobago Red Force cricketers won the Super 50 Tournament final against Leeward Islands Hurricanes by seven wickets at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Tarouba on Saturday.

The result gave Red Force their 14th hold of the title.

They finished the tournament unbeaten with two games ending in no result.

It was a match reduced to 43 overs per side due to rain interruptions on two occasions.

Set a victory target of 138 runs, Red Force reached 141 for three off 23.4 overs.

Captain Darren Bravo top scored with 40 runs.

Nicholas Pooran made 39 not out, Kjorn Ottley 23 and  Joshua Da Silva 28.

Bowling for Hurricanes Hayden Walsh had 2 wickets for 19 runs.

Earlier, Sunil Narine playing in his final First Class match had 3 wickets for 17 runs.

Terrance Hinds also provided support with figures of 3 for 16.

Thier performance helped restrict Hurricanes to 135 all out from 41.5 overs.

Jahmar Hamilton led the batting with 62 runs for the visitors.

Player of the match Narine finished the tournament tied with Hayden Walsh for the most wickets…… 20.

He also had the most catches nine.

Walsh got the best all-rounder of the tournament award.

Bravo finished the tournament with the most runs 416.
