Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley says Trinidad and Tobago is now in the endemic phase of the covid19 pandemic.
The Prime Minister made the following announcements in Parliament on Friday:
He said the parallel health care system will be dismantled, with reliance on the public health care system, adding that the onus is now on individuals to be responsible.
1. Mask wearing remains in public spaces. Families are not required to wear masks in their cars anymore.
2. Public Gatherings up to 25.
3. All team sports resume.
4. Full public service back to work from Monday.
5. Public transport at 100 per cent.
6. No limits on funerals.
7. Reduction in quarantine time on non- vaccinated people to 7 days on receipt of a negative PCR.
8. Quarantine for people who are primary contracts down to 10 days
9. Primary school children will be allowed into school in Term 3.
10. Bars and restaurants can operate at 75 per cent.
