Two additional deaths have been recorded on the sister isle of Tobago.
The deceased are an 84-year-old female and a 43-year-old male, both with comorbidities.
They both succumbed to Covid-19 over the last 24 hours, pushing the island’s Covid death toll to 58.
The Division of Health, Wellness and Family Development in its clinical update also advised that 12 new positive Covid cases were recorded in the past 24 hours.
The new cases bring active cases of the virus in Tobago to 492 and total confirmed cases to 2,000.
A total of 34 patients are in state isolation, while 453 remain in home isolation.
Five patients are warded at the Intensive Care unit.
No patients are at the step down facility at this time.
