The Tobago Division of the Trinidad and Tobago Chamber of Industry and Commerce is requesting an urgent meeting with the Works and Transport Minister, Rohan Sinanan, and his technical team and the board of NEDCO by next week in the sister isle to discuss matters pertaining to sea transportation between the islands.
Chairman of the Tobago Division of the TT Chamber, Curtis Williams, made the request during a news briefing today.
A replacement cargo vessel started service between Scarborough and Port of Spain on Tuesday.
The Cabo Star is scheduled to return to service by September 18th.
However, Mr Williams cited the urgency and importance of such a meeting with the relevant authorities to get an update on the way forward in terms of information on sea transportation between the islands.
