Three T&T nationals are among the winners of the silver 2023 Cacao of Excellence Awards for Central America and the Caribbean.
The awards, held yesterday, honour top-quality cacao farming while supporting and encouraging more sustainable production.
For the 2023 edition, Cacao of Excellence received 222 cocoa bean samples from 52 participating origins.
The T&T trio of Doolarie Ramdath, Shankar Teelucksingh and Stephanie Omardeen was awarded silver in this region’s category.
