A bandit stole approximately 20 pounds of cheddar cheese and one-and-a-half cases of butter during a robbery in downtown Port of Spain on Tuesday.
Police are now searching for the suspect.
Reports are that the bandit, entered the newly opened Jerk Bar food place on Frederick Street, Port-of-Spain, around 1.30 yesterday morning.
Security camera footage showed the man, whose face was covered with a red cloth, emptying food items from the establishment into bags.
The man, who was wearing a white vest, slippers, and blue short pants, escaped after climbing over a barrier with two filled bags.
Along with they20 pounds of cheddar cheese and one-and-a-half cases of butter, the bandit also made off with two bags of Mexican shredded cheese and a Bluetooth speaker.
