Supermarket Association head: More difficult for business owners to get guns

It is now more challenging for business owners to get FUL’s and in the meanwhile, they are bearing the brunt of the frustrations regarding the current crime situation.

So says Head of the supermarket Association, Rajiv Diptee.

Speaking this morning on the Power 102 Digital Power Breakfast Show, he pointed to the recent murder of Chinese businessman Bing Zhu Zang, the owner of Golden City Supermarket.

Mr Diptee noted that supermarkets are becoming an easy target for bandits.

Citing the unreliability of the police in their response to crime, Mr Diptee said the delay in the issuing of firearm user licences to business owners can prove to be deadly.
