Opposition’s Shadow Finance Minister Dave Tancoo says the Government’s unexpected windfall should be spent on transforming the economy.
Speaking with News Power Now, MP Tancoo said that this can take the form of social programs or even addressing the business woes which in turn can aid in social enhancement.
MP Tancoo’s hopes however do not match his expectations.
When asked about what his expectations were, he put forward a much more pessimistic outlook citing what he pointed to as Minister Imbert’s track record.
He accused the Finance Minister of understating figures in last year’s budget presentation and said Minister Imbert had failed in providing a plan to transform the economy.
