Several farmers are reportedly affected by flooding in the Penal Rock Road, Barrackpore, Woodland area following Friday’s bad weather.
There are minimal complaints of damage to homes.
Several sandbags have been distributed to people in communities.
Confirmation of this comes from Chairman of the Penal \Debe Regional Corporation, Dr Allen Sammy.
Speaking in an interview with Power 102 Digital Friday afternoon, Dr Sammy said the weather has cleared up significantly but some water courses are filled.
Dr Sammy said the Ministry of Agriculture, Land and Fisheries is expected to collect data from the affected farmers.
