Ten Homes Impacted By Flooding In Couva Tabaquite Area

Ten homes are affected by flash and street flooding in the Caparo, Todd’s Road area and arrangements are being made to help the families impacted upon.

There is no need for the families to relocate and the opening of emergency shelters are not on the agenda at this time.

This information is provided to Power 102 Digital by Chairman of the Couva\Tabaquite Regional Corporation, Henry Awong.

Speaking in an interview Friday afternoon, Mr Awong said officials of the Disaster Management Unit and other officials of the corporation are in the communities carrying out assessments.

Mr Awong also suggested some of the work which should be carried out to reduce the impact of flooding in the future.
