Two men were attacked by gunmen on Thursday evening.
According to reports the men were liming at upper Fairley Street, Tunapuna, at around 8.30 pm when they were approached by three men who shot at them.
One of the men was shot in his right hand while the other was shot several times across his body.
Residents took the men to the hospital where they remained under supervision.
Officers of the Tunapuna CID are continuing enquiries.
