A search is now being conducted for the body of a man, who was swept away in floodwaters in Princes Town on Monday.
Reports are that 49-year-old Anthony Walkes of New Grant, left home around 2pm to visit family in Hardbargain.
While attempting to cross a bridge to get to his relatives’ house, eyewtinesses said he was swept away in the floodwaters.
A team from the T&T Defence Force and the Office of Disaster Preparedness and Management (ODPM) are using a drone to search for Walkes.
His relatives are assisting in the search for his body.
