Scarborough man granted $30,000 bail for housebreaking

DAMION Mc EWEN, a 36-year-old man of Rockley-Vale, Scarborough, appeared virtually today before Senior Magistrate Jo-Anne Connor at the Scarborough Magistrates’ court, charged with housebreaking.

He was granted $30,000 bail.

The suspect was charged in connection with a report made by the victim on Monday 15th February, 2021. The victim reported that around 10.30am he secured his home. When he returned he observed that a door on the northern side opened. He further observed a man whom he knows, entering his house. Upon seeing the victim, the suspect then walked out of the house.

Following the report, PC Thomas of the Scarborough Criminal
Investigation Department (CID) conducted enquiries, where it led him to arrest and charge the 36-year-old man.

The accused is expected to reappear at court virtually on Thursday 18th March, 2021.
