A 63-year-old San Fernando man escaped with minor injuries following a robbery attempt in Ste Madeleine last night.
Around 10:30pm, the man was sitting in his white Nissan AD Wagon in the car park of “Snax Plus Mini Mart” at Manahambre Road, when two men wearing dark clothing and black face masks approached him.
One of the men pointed a gun at him and demanded that he exit the wagon.
However, while he was about to follow the order, he said he heard a loud explosion and felt a burning in his stomach.
The victim told police he got scared and drove off, leaving the suspects in the car park.
The man suffered a minor graze on his stomach area.
Investigators retrieved one .45mm spent shell at the scene.
