A 34-year-old salesman was granted bail in the sum of $100,000 with a surety, when he appeared before Magistrate Adrian Darmanie at the Chaguanas Magistrates’ Court on 7th March, charged with two counts of Sexual Penetration.
As part of the bail condition, the accused shall stay no less than 300 feet from the victim, and he shall report to a police station in the district once per week.
He is expected to reappear in court on 6th April, 2023.
According to police reports, on 17th June 2022 a teenager was at the home of a male relative, when the male relative allegedly had sexual contact with the teenager. The male relative also allegedly had sexual contact with the teenager on the 24th June, 2022, at his home.
The matter was reported to the Chaguanas Police Station. WPC Luke investigated the matter, which led to the arrest of a suspect, who was charged on 6th March at the St Clair Police Station, with the two counts of Sexual Penetration.
Investigations were supervised by Superintendent Claire Guy- Alleyne, ASP Seecharan, and Sergeant Cedeno Figaro.
