Two men, ages 34 and 55 were killed in Morvant on Friday night.
Akil ‘Germs’ Rodriguez, 34, of Romain Lands, St Francois Valley Road, Morvant, and 55-year-old Christopher ‘Matches/Strokes’ Towine of Mon Repos Road, Morvant were standing in the vicinity of the walkover at Lady Young Road shortly after 9pm awaiting transportation.
While standing there, an armed assailant approached and shot both men.
Residents who heard the explosions, quickly notified police.
When officers arrived they found Rodriguez dead at the scene while Towine succumbed to his injuries while being treated at hospital.
Investigations are continuing.
