Rio Claro businessman robbed, tied up and beaten

A contractor was beaten when burglars broke into his Rio Claro home on Wednesday morning.

Forty-four-year-old Rishi Persadsingh, his wife, and two children were at home around 3:00 am, when armed men entered their house at Jeffers Crossing, Tabaquite Road, and tied them up.

They beat Rishi before escaping with four iPhones, a large quantity of jewelry and alcohol, a 380 Beretta pistol, and two 12-gauge shotguns.

Police officers arrived and took a statement.
