A rifle, quantities of ammunition and marijuana were discovered by officers of the Western Division CID, the Gang Unit and officers of the Western Division Task Force, during an anti-crime exercise conducted in Diego Martin today.
The exercise, coordinated by Snr. Supt. Aguilal, Supt Thompson, ASP Parriman and Insp Birbal and including a party of officers from the K9 Unit, was conducted between 2:00am and 8:30am, on Sunday 8th December, 2019.
During the exercise, several warrants were executed for persons of interest, relative to recent shootings in the West End district, which included Covigne Road. Three men were arrested for possession of a rifle, a large quantity of ammunition, and a small quantity of marijuana.
Investigations are ongoing.
