Masqueraders in Tobago will be parading along a revised route for the carnival celebrations today, Monday 12th and Tuesday 13th February, 2024 in Scarborough.
In a media release, the Tobago Festivals Commission said the parade starts at 1pm at Gardenside Street, heading north towards Post Office Street, turn left and proceed to Market Square car park, enter Market Square car park from Post Office Street entrance , exit Market Square and turn right onto Wilson Road continuing to Wilson Road traffic lights.
The parade will then turn right onto the Claude Noel Highway ending at Rockley Vale traffic light.
The first judging point will be at Market Square followed by the second judging point at Old Botanic Garden lay-by along the Claude Noel Highway.
The Commission said these changes were discussed and agreed by the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS Tobago Division), The Tobago Emergency Management Authority (TEMA) and Tobago Mas Band Leaders (TMBL).
