Police are probing the death of the close male relative of a policewoman, who reportedly died from self-inflicted gunshot wounds while at a Manzanilla beach.
The WPC and the man, both from Fishing Pond in Sangre Grande, went to Manzanilla beach on Friday afternoon..
While there, the man allegedly took the constable’s licensed gun and shot himself around 3pm.
The man died on the spot, while the woman, who is a member of the Emergency Response Patrol, was unhurt.
