Public Health Officials close three restaurants and two casinos in Port of Spain

Three popular restaurants in Port of Spain were closed by Public Health officers after they were inspected and found to be in breach of public health standards on Friday. According to the TTPS, the restaurants are located on ‘Broadway’, Independence Square, and Charlotte Street. The restaurants were not identified by the TTPS nor did they say which restaurants or why they were closed. The closure was part of a police exercise in the capital city. During the exercise customs officials also ordered the closure of two casinos, located at Independence Square and Charlotte Street. Officers also arrested 11 Spanish-speaking immigrants and three Chinese nationals.
