One Political Analyst believes that Local election results will have no bearing on general elections.
Rishi Maharaj says while parties would spin local government election results in a way to help them win the general elections that will not be necessary at this time.
He says because the general elections may be some two years off it’s too far to link the two.
He told Power 102 Digital’s Power Breakfast Show this morning two years would be enough time for parties to do some damage control if they do not do well in the local government election.
