A 41-year-old man is currently warded at the San Fernando General Hospital after he was stabbed in the stomach during an argument with a female relative.
Around 10:45pm on Thursday night, the victim, Anslem Belfast, of Point Fortin was home when he became embroiled in a heated argument with a 29-year-old female relative.
During the fight, the woman stabbed Belfast in the stomach with a knife.
He was rushed to the Point Fortin Hospital and then transferred to San Fernando General.
Police later detained the female suspect, who was still in custody without charge on Friday.
